Ian was born and raised in England. After attending a church youth group for the first time as a teenager, he was saved after hearing the gospel proclaimed. Ian immediately had desires to serve within the church and learn more from God's Word. He met his wife, Claire, an Ohio native, at a Bible College in New York, and they were married in 2007. Having been involved in ministry in England for a number of years, Ian quickly realized his need for further training and was accepted into The Master's Seminary in 2015. After graduating seminary in 2018, the Rush family have moved to serve at the church Ian was saved at as a teenager. Their hope has always been to return to England.
Ian's aim is to proclaim the Word of God with the hope of strengthening the church through preaching, discipleship, and training ministries, and leading people to Christ through the proclamation of the gospel. There are opportunities for men's and women's training ministries, growth in family ministries, and connections with unbelieving families already connected to the church.
Ian will have all of the usual functions of pastoral ministry with a particular focus on families with children at home.
