Chris was born in Oakland, California, and was raised in the nearby city of Castro Valley. In 2004, he moved to Los Angeles to attend UCLA where he studied mass communication and English. After graduating college, Chris began his studies at The Master’s Seminary and earned his M.Div. and Th.M. degrees. He currently serves as the director of Shepherds’ Conference and as the shepherd of the UCLA Grace on Campus Bible study. Chris has been married to his wife, Linda, since 2011, and they have two sons—Nathaniel and Jordan.
Mark grew up in Russia until 1990, when his family immigrated to Los Angeles and joined Grace Community Church. Having grown up at Grace, it was natural for him to prepare for ministry at The Master's Seminary, where he earned his M.Div. and Th.M. degrees. In 2017, Mark earned his Ph.D. from the University of Edinburgh. Mark joined the church staff in 2007 and currently serves alongside Michael Mahoney in administration and as a staff elder in Crossroads, where he leads the Foundation Bible study.
Paul serves in the Steadfast fellowship group and as an instructor with Logos Institute. He is currently pursuing a PhD in Old Testament studies. Paul loves to preach and teach the Bible and is grateful for the opportunities afforded to him at Grace Church to do this. He is blessed to be a husband to Laura and a father to six young children.
Michael Wurtz serves at The Master's Seminary where he is involved in Operations and the Distance Learning Program. He holds both M.Div. and Th.M. degrees from The Master’s Seminary and has been teaching Logos classes since 2012. In the near future, Michael would love to serve the Lord as a missionary.
Bill has served on staff since 1989, and he is the co-pastor of Anchored, a Sunday morning adult fellowship group. Bill oversees and is actively involved in the biblical counseling ministry—he teaches discipleship counseling and marriage and family classes through Logos Equipping Ministries and provides formal and informal counseling for church members and regular attenders of Grace Church. He is also a member of the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors (ACBC) where he serves as a fellow. Bill has enjoyed opportunities to minister internationally, teaching at pastors' conferences and training centers in India, Croatia, England, Poland, the Czech-Republic, Japan, Ireland, and South Africa. Bill graduated from Iona College (B.A.) in New Rochelle, New York, and earned his M.Div. and D.Min. from The Master's Seminary in Sun Valley, California. Bill and his wife, Donna, have two daughters and five granddaughters.
George has been a lay elder for eighteen years. He currently serves in Anchored alongside Bill Shannon and Carl Hargrove, and he is actively involved in Grace Church’s Discipleship Counseling Ministry with Anna, his wife of forty years. He also serves on ECHO, and sits on the board of directors of The Master's University and Seminary. George currently works as a plastic surgeon.
Chris was born into Grace Church (Pastor John did his baby dedication!) but spent his young adolescence in Arlington, Texas, before returning to the Valley. He studied Physiological Sciences at UCLA, then at the Italian Evangelical Bible Institute in Rome, Italy, where he met his Italian wife Erma. He served for seven years as a church planter in Italy and the Republic of San Marino before coming to The Master’s Seminary to receive his M.Div. and Th.M. He is currently a Ph.D. student at TMS as well as a Faculty Associate. He shepherds a Bible Study in the GraceLife fellowship group and is active in music ministry for the church. Chris and Erma have three boys.
