There is something indescribably special about the Christmas holiday that makes it more precious than all the rest. That’s not to say that Thanksgiving and New Year’s Day don’t possess a certain kind of sweet nostalgia, but ultimately it is Christmas
The morning sun is just beginning to peak behind the cloudy, gray-streaked sky. It is 6:30 a.m., and the kingfishers are awake with me. I hear their eager chirping against the backdrop of rain gently pattering against the tile roof.
