Overview
Discovery is actually two ministries: Discovery and Discovery Kids. Both consist of a dynamic and enjoyable evening that includes a bible lesson, singing, games and small groups (Discovery only). It is our desire to provide the children with a fun, Bible centered experience while their parents are worshiping in the evening service.
God’s Word says, “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding” (Proverbs 10:9). True saving knowledge of God is the greatest need of every single human being. The foundation for that saving knowledge is found in His all sufficient authoritative Word, the Bible. As A.W. Pink said, “Something more than a theoretical knowledge of God is needed by us. God is only truly known in the soul as we yield ourselves to Him, submit to His authority, and regulate all the details of our lives by His holy precepts and commandments.
This spring in Discovery
We have the great privilege in studying and teaching the doctrines of Christ from His nature to His earthly ministry. Our prayer and desire is that our holy and awesome God would be exalted through the teaching of His Word, and that He would make Himself known to each one of the kids in Discovery. And this semester specifically that the kids will walk away with a greater understanding of our Great Savior, Jesus Christ.

Cindy Curtis is one of our long term staff members who has been faithfully serving in Discovery for a number of years. In addition to serving as a small group leader, she maintains a blog that describes what we are learning each week. This is a great resource to both kids and parents so make sure to check it out.
