Ministry Partner: Eduardo Izquierdo

Monterrey, Mexico

According to the most recent census the metropolitan area of Monterrey is currently the second largest in Mexico with a population of close to 5.5 million people. Eduardo and Valeria were born and raised in Monterrey and have seen the tremendous need of biblically sound churches in the region. In 2016 they moved to California in order for Eduardo to start theological training at The Master’s Seminary. In 2020 he graduated with his M.Div. from TMS, where he has also continued studying for his Th.M.

Eduardo and Valeria were trained in ministry at Grace Community Church under the leadership of pastors Henry Tolopilo and Josiah Grauman. Eduardo served as a pastoral intern, music director leader and Bible teacher for a home Bible study and Sunday school in the Spanish ministry. It is their desire to serve in their hometown and see the glory of the Gospel produce the fruit of salvation in the lives of the unbelievers.

Monterrey is a city with a great need of biblically sound churches led by faithful men who can accurately handle the word of truth. Eduardo has been recipient of the blessing to be under the shepherding of the pastors and elders at Grace Community Church and it is with joy that he seeks to replicate what he has learned in obedience to the Word (2 Tim 2:2). His ministry is focused in two areas:

Iglesia Bíblica de Monterrey: Eduardo’s desire is to plant a local church in Monterrey that sits under faithful expository preaching of the Word of God which exalts Christ, equips the saints for the work of the ministry, and evangelizes the lost.

Leadership Training: God is amazingly opening doors for the formal training of church leaders and pastors through Seminario Palabra de Gracia (based in Mexico City) and Universidad Cristiana de las Americas (accredited institution based in Monterrey). Eduardo’s academic training aims to strengthens the current institutions efforts in preparing the next generation of biblical expositors and theologians.
