Aaron and Susan serve in the ministry of Bible translation with unfoldingWord, a ministry focused on providing tools, resources, and training for churches to engage in Bible translation.
In 2002, Aaron and Susan were commissioned and sent out by Grace Community Church to serve in Cameroon, Africa, with Wycliffe Bible Translators. In 2017, Aaron was invited to serve with The Master’s Academy International and then transitioned to The Master’s Seminary. While at The Master’s Seminary, Aaron directed the Tyndale Center for Bible Translation and taught courses in Bible translation.

Aaron was blessed to be raised in a Christian home. He put his faith in Christ at a young age. While in high school, the Lord put the desire on his heart to serve in missions in Africa. He studied linguistics and African languages at Indiana University and UCLA, completing a Ph.D. in 1995. He then attended The Master’s Seminary and graduated in 2002. Susan was also raised in a Christian family. She and her family moved from South Korea to Los Angeles in 1979. She grew up in the San Fernando Valley and started attending Grace Community Church while attending California State University Northridge. Learn more about how God has worked in Susan’s life.
Aaron and Susan met at Grace Community Church in a fellowship group named Working Disciples. They got married in 1998. They have three daughters: Rebecca, Ruth, and Rachel.
