Aaron & Susan Shryock

In 2002, Aaron and Susan were commissioned and sent out by Grace Community Church to serve in Cameroon, Africa in the ministry of Bible translation among the Kotoko, an unreached Muslim people of northern Cameroon and Chad. Aaron has developed literacy materials and a dictionary in the language. He is currently translating Genesis.

Aaron and Susan are currently based in Orlando, FL, serving with Horizons International.  Aaron makes regular trips to Chad to work in person with his fellow translators. When stateside, he works remotely with his team.

Susan is homeschooling their youngest daughter and teaches in children’s ministry at their local church. She is also involved in Titus Two International, a prayer ministry for missionary wives.

Aaron and Susan have three daughters: Rebecca (2000), Ruth (2002), and Rachel (2006).

Aaron graduated from The Master’s Seminary in 2002 with an M.Div and also has a Ph.D in Linguistics from UCLA (1995).

Ministry Goals:

  • Translate the Scriptures in the Kotoko language
  • Train and mentor Bible translators, especially in Africa
  • Promote the ministry of Bible translation
  • Glorify God and elevate the position of the Word in life of the Church

  • Pray for the translation of the Scriptures in Kotoko
  • Pray for the development of training in translation
  • Pray for Susan as she encourages missionary wives and teaches Sunday school at their local church
