Five Steps to Membership

If you have not yet joined our church as a member, here is a brief explanation of the process.

Step 1—Register at the Member Center. After both Sunday morning services, the Member Center is staffed by volunteers eager to answer questions about membership and baptism, and to help you begin the registration process for the membership classes.

Step 2—Attend All Three Membership Classes. A complete class cycle—101, 102, and 103—is offered over the first three Sundays of every month (excluding December and July).

Step 3—Complete Membership/Baptism Packet. Fill out all parts of the application for membership/baptism—this includes writing a brief testimony and reading a few documents to help you understand what we teach and how our church operates.

Step 4—Attend Pastoral Interview/Schedule Baptism. Contact your fellowship group pastor to schedule a time for your application to be reviewed and signed. This also serves as a great opportunity for an elder of our church to answer any questions you may have. You can also contact the membership office if you need help scheduling an interview. For those who need to be baptized, your baptism will be scheduled after you return the signed application to the Membership Center.

Step 5—Right Hand of Fellowship (RHOF). Those who finish the membership process will be welcomed as members at the next RHOF service. Before the evening service, there is a brief reception to welcome all new members, and at the close of the evening service, new members will make an affirmation of their commitment to the local body here at Grace Church.
