A Call to Serve Our Children

by Jay Lennington, Children’s Ministry Pastor

If you visited Grace Church’s campus last week, you would have been blessed to see our church filled with over 1,000 children attending this year’s VBS and over 700 volunteers serving those children. This year, in particular, we experienced an enormous turnout of willing volunteers, all who were eager to share the good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ with the children of our church and from the community. In fact, so many in our church family were ready to serve that we had to ask some to spend their efforts on praying for us because all our volunteer positions had filled.

It was a tremendous encouragement to see this outpouring of love from our church family. Seeing such a devoted care for our children, we are eager to share even more opportunities for ways our church can serve them. These opportunities extend beyond an annual event like VBS and into the significant impact of the ministries that take place here at Grace Church each Lord’s Day.

Every Sunday morning, we have opportunities for members of our church to serve in the Nursery, Sunday School, and Juniors Ministry. And on Sunday evenings, we have our Adventure Club ministry, aimed at teaching our children rich theology. We would love your help as we seek to minister to our young ones these ways, each and every week throughout the year. For more information about ways to serve, get in touch with us at childrens@gracechurch.org and 818-909-5631. Thank you for praying and partnering with us as we minister to the next generation of the church.
