But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as from the Lord, the Spirit.
—2 Corinthians 3:18
It is the believer’s deepest desire to be transformed into the image of our Lord Jesus Christ and, as believers, we know that we are never more like Christ than when we serve one another. It is through Spirit-filled service motivated by love for Christ whereby such a transformation occurs.
Our annual Shepherds Conference offers a multitude of ways for our church members to serve. As we put into practice what we hear each week from the pulpit, the conference is a church-wide opportunity to use our gifts to edify others.
This year’s conference theme is “Shepherding the Remnant, ” which will focus on God’s love for His people, as seen throughout Scripture, which has fortified them to persevere in spite of opposition, though they be but a remnant in the face of overwhelming opposition. Keynote speakers will include John MacArthur, H.B. Charles, Steve Lawson, James Coates, and others.
Volunteering for Shepherds Conference 2023 is an opportunity for our church members to minister to Christ’s undershepherds, and therefore, by the grace which He provides, have a worldwide impact on Christ’s church—all so that Christ will be honored.
We ask you to prayerfully seek the Lord’s direction about how you might serve in this ministry in March. Volunteer registration begins on January 8, with sign-ups on the patio after both morning services. Registration will close on January 22, and a volunteer meeting will take place the following Sunday on January 29.
Most importantly, please pray that this conference would honor Jesus Christ by equipping each attendee with the courage to stand firm in service of Christ and His church.
