Don Carr

Elder

Don was saved in August 1991, after listening to a 14-tape series of sermons by John MacArthur. From 1970–1990, he raced land speed cars as a hobby, setting numerous records and exceeding 300 miles per hour on five occasions. Shortly after becoming a Christian, Don left racing to be involved in ministry at Grace Community Church. He served in Children’s Ministry for eight years while attending The Master’s Seminary, and he also led a Bible study in the Mainstream fellowship group. Don has pastored The Guild fellowship group since 2007, and he joined Grace Church’s elder board in April 2011. After graduating from The Master’s Seminary, Don found work developing training materials for Motor Racing Outreach, a ministry to the NASCAR racing circuit. He joined staff at Grace to You in 2001, where he provides pastoral care for Grace to You supporters. Don and his wife, Logan, have been married since 1996 and live in Granada Hills, California.

George has been at Grace Church since 1977, and has served as an elder since 1996. George and his wife, Ann, have served in both student and adult ministries at the church for a number of years. A graduate of Occidental College and the UCLA School of Law, he has served as a prosecuting attorney and administrative law judge for the state. George has also served as an adjunct faculty member at The Master’s University since 1991. George and Ann met at Grace Church and were married here after serving in the young singles ministry. They have two married sons, and two beautiful grandchildren.

Chris grew up at Grace Community Church and, for most of his life, he has been part of youth ministry—either as a student, or serving as volunteer staff in Junior High, High School, and College ministries. He graduated from California State University, Northridge in 1985, and is a practicing CPA in the area of forensic accounting. Chris and his wife, Ann, met in 1986 while both were involved in ministry in Crossroads, and they were married in 1988. Chris and Ann have three grown daughters and three grandchildren.

Matt was saved during high school. Since then, he’s had a passion for bringing the gospel to students in the context of youth ministry. Matt and his wife, Jenny, began attending Grace Community Church in 2003 and have served as volunteer staff in the youth department for most of that time. Matt currently serves as an elder in the High School ministry, and he also works full-time leading Human Resources at Liferay, a global software company. Matt and Jenny have three children.

Charlie was born and raised in Silicon Valley. After working in the architecture industry for several years, he enrolled in The Master's Seminary and completed his MDiv in 2016. Charlie currently serves as the director of Membership and Conferences. He and his wife, Drena, have been married since 2012 and have three children.
