Life’s highest joy is knowing Christ. He gives our souls rest and promises us eternal glory. Yet, we often lose sight of His beauty. The world distracts us and troubles our hearts with doubts, fears, temptations, and sins. We claim Christ and long for salvation and its blessings, but often wrestle with feelings of uncertainty and insecurity.
In this world, we must ground ourselves in the trustworthiness and love of Christ. Jesus provides us hope of a future in heaven, but he also provides us assurance of our salvation today. Because heaven is less about a place and more about a person, the glory of this life is to know with full confidence that Christ is ours and has granted us eternal life. The uncertainties of this life fade away when laid before the person and work of Jesus Christ.
