Leadership Counseling

George has been at Grace Church since 1977, and has served as an elder since 1996. George and his wife, Ann, have served in both student and adult ministries at the church for a number of years. A graduate of Occidental College and the UCLA School of Law, he has served as a prosecuting attorney and administrative law judge for the state. George has also served as an adjunct faculty member at The Master’s University since 1991. George and Ann met at Grace Church and were married here after serving in the young singles ministry. They have two married sons, and two beautiful grandchildren.

Carl ministered at Grace Church from 1990 to 1993, was ordained, and pastored two churches in the Los Angeles area from 1994 to 2014 before returning to Grace Church. He is passionate about foreign missions and travels internationally yearly, supporting leaders and volunteers in various countries. He is the co-founder of the African Revitalization Centre. Carl serves on several missions boards and holds a certification with the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors (ACBC). He directs the Grace Advance ministry of Grace Church, which provides pastoral leadership for church planting and revitalization in North America. Carl has earned degrees from The University of Cincinnati and The Master's Seminary (M.Div., Th.M., D.Min.), and he serves as an associate professor of pastoral ministries and church relations ambassador at The Master's Seminary. Currently, Carl co-pastors the Anchored fellowship group. He and his wife, Joanna, have five children.

Tom Leman

Elder

Tom has been a lay elder since March, 2010. He serves in Anchored with Bill Shannon, Carl Hargrove, George Crawford, and George Sanders, and in Special Ministries with Rick McLean. Tom is also involved with Grace Advance and serves as a member of the Elders Counsel Handling Advance (ECHA). He and his wife, Stacy, have been married for thirty-three years. They were saved more than twenty-eight years ago, and have been at Grace Community Church since that time. God used Pastor MacArthur’s unwavering proclamation of God’s truth on the radio to bring the Lemans to salvation.

Tom Rios

Elder

Tom and his wife Josie have served in ministry together sine 1982.  He was an assistant pastor for seventeen years at Primera Iglesia Bíblica in East Los Angeles and then seven years as the lead pastor.  In 2012 he served as the founding pastor of the Spanish Ministry at Grace Church of the Valley in Kingsburg, CA.  He has five married children, their fifteenth grandchild on the way and recently joined Grace Community Church to serve in biblical counseling as an Associate Pastor for the Spanish ministry.

John Street

Elder

John is a professor of biblical counseling at The Master’s University and Seminary, and he serves as the chairman of the Masters of Arts in Biblical Counseling program. Prior to coming to this program, he taught at Cedarville and Cornerstone Universities. John also served as a pastor for 22 years, and as a church-planter in Ohio. He completed seminary at Grand Rapids Baptist Seminary, and earned his doctoral degree from Westminster Theological Seminary in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Currently, he is an elder at Grace Church and serves as co-pastor of the Joint Heirs fellowship group. John and his wife, Janie, have four children and six grandchildren.
