Each summer, we’re given a unique opportunity to invest in the next generation. With school out, our young people are especially available for focused, gospel ministry—whether through summer camps, special events, or programs that fill the church campus with our children.

Behind the fun and energy of these events is our unwavering commitment to raise up the next generation in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. While the world seeks to corrupt and confuse, we are called to disciple, shepherd, and protect the most vulnerable. As the church, we must provide spiritual shade for our children.

One of the most impactful ministries we o&er is happening this week—Vacation Bible School. Though it lasts only four days, its eternal impact cannot be overstated. Since 2016, VBS has reached thousands of children with the gospel. Many have come to saving faith. Others have been grounded in the truth that endures. You can see last year’s highlights at: gracechurch.org/vbs

This year, more than 1,000 elementary school children will join us June 17–20 to hear the gospel clearly proclaimed through the theme “God’s Good Garden”—surveying the story of redemption from the creation and corruption of the Garden of Eden, to the supplication of our Savior in the Garden of Gethsemane, to the grandeur and glory of the Garden of Paradise on the new earth.

VBS is a church-wide e&ort. Hundreds of our members serve faithfully to make it happen. I urge you to pray for this work and to consider how you might partner in it. Our Summer O&ering is one practical way to support this vital outreach beyond your regular giving.

We have been entrusted with the truth. Let us be faithful to pass it on—so that the next generation may know the hope of heaven.

Your financial gift, will play a vital role in helping us accomplish that goal.

Love in the Truth,

John MacArthur
