A Grace Equip Event with Dr. Steve Lawson
In Ephesians 5:15–16, the apostle Paul reminds the church at Ephesus (and all subsequent generations of Christians) to live wisely when he writes, “Therefore look carefully how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil.”
We often think and live as if time is an unlimited commodity. We occupy ourselves doing this or that, without a second thought for how little time we’ve actually been given. As each moment passes inexorably on to the next, the sands of time are literally slipping away.
The truth remains that God has sovereignly ordained the number of days He has given us to live upon the earth. He has already marked out our paths and assigned good works for us to walk in, and when we stand before Him, we will each give an account for how we used our time to fulfill those works. That’s why believers must live their lives right now in light of eternity.
