If we have an incorrect understanding of Christ, then the rest of our faith is in vain (1 Corinthians 15:3–4; 13–14). The doctrine of Christ informs everything we do, say, and think as we run the race, and this year’s Spanish Expositors Conference theme was centered on that very truth.
In 2016, the year of our first conference, 600 people attended. This year, we had the privilege of ministering to more than 2,100 attendees from the United States and various countries in Latin America, such as Mexico, Honduras, Costa Rica, Perú, El Salvador, Puerto Rico, and Chile. The impact of the conference stretched far beyond our campus, however, as it has become one of the most viewed conferences on social media in the Spanish-speaking world; entire local churches gathered to watch the conference online last week and sit under the preaching of the Word of God.
The keynote preachers for the conference were Henry Tolopilo, Josiah Grauman, Luis Contreras, Paul Washer, Sugel Michelén, and Miguel Nuñez, among many other faithful brothers. In addition to a time of edifying teaching and purposeful fellowship, our conference attendees were also blessed by the incredible hospitality of our church family. More than 200 volunteers served during the conference, and we know that example of faithfulness and generosity speaks volumes about the heart of our church toward fellow brothers and sisters in the faith from all over the world.
From the Conferences Department, thank you to everyone who supported this conference—in your prayers, by providing scholarships for the attendees, and in the way you served and represented our Savior so well.
Please continue praying for the spiritual awakening that is occurring in the Spanish-speaking world—that God would be glorified and the gospel be accurately and faithfully proclaimed.
